While valuing the university ranking values, the authors analyze the problems in the university rankings of China. In order to build up？the healthy and scientific university rankings, we need regulations, information service, and supervision. Specifically, professional norms are needed to be set up, higher education information should be more open, a quality assurance agency for higher education and an assessment association of the university ranking agencies are needed as well.
