Objective： To establish a method for the determination of amino glucose in compound from Periplaneta americana. Methods： The content of the amino glucose in compound was determined at 540 nm with chondroitin sulfate as the standard substance by ultraviolet UV-visible method. Results： The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0.025-0.375 mg/mL for chondroitin sulfate, r=0.999 8, the average recovery was 98.36%, RSD=1.35%（n=6）. Conclusion： The method is simple, fast and accurate, and can be used as the determination of amino glucose in compound from Periplaneta americana.
