With the rapid development of Internet technology, the network has become an important platform for interpersonal intercourse. As an important part of adolescent＇ s Computer-Mediated Communication （CMC）, Internet relay chat （1RC） has its own characteristics. In this paper, based on other person＇s research results and with the observation of three teen chat rooms, we analyze the characteristics of adolescent＇ s Internet relay chat comprehensively from such aspects as the technical environment, communication medium, interpersonal interaction, social psychology, and so on.
