The paper firstly classifies and summarizes the previous research in cross-organizational workflow modeling,includes both the perspective of the intra-organizational and inter-organizational workflow.Then it overviews the workflow research from qualitatively and quantitatively.Finally,it concludes the managerial significance of the research in this area and explores the future research directions according to the deficiency of the available research.
