P2P网络的应用越来越广泛,同时也在互联网上产生了巨大的网络流量。但P2P网络通常将所有节点看作对等的。不考虑节点的实际网络位置,这就带来了大量的网络冗余流量。本文对P2P网络的位置知晓性进行了相关研究。首先总结了以往对P2P网络位置知晓性的研究,而后提出了采用多源文件下载机制的P2P网络的位置知晓性问题,并通过对真实的BitTorrent网络的测量试验论证了该问题。对P2P网络位置知晓性进行研究和改进,可以减少网络冗余流量,改进网络效率,减少网络运营商的成本。
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) network has emerged as a popular application which brings the overwhelming traffic on lntemet. However, the mechanism of peers randomly choosing logical neighbors without any knowledge about underlying physical topology can cause a large amount of redundant traffic. We first summarize the researches on the location awareness in P2P networks. Then, the location-unaware problem in P2P networks based on multi-source file transmission protocol is proposed and proved by measurement experiments on the physical BitTorrent networks. The improvement to the location awareness of P2P networks can reduce the traffic and the costs of network operators, improve the efficiency of networks.
