History of architecture in Dandong was recalled. The features of the overall arrangement of urban construction in Dandong were also analyzed. Fresher more, problems in Dandong urban construction were investigated from aspect of urban design with theory of landscape ecology. Some countermeasures were accordingly proposed. It is concluded that urban design should be studied in a comprehensive way. We should respect natural environment. Urban construction should proceed in an orderly way and step, adhering to the principle of sustainable development.
