Glycosylation is one of the most important post-translational modifications of the protein, which is related to many activities of life. With the development of the proteomics, the studies of the glycosylation are attached more and more importance. This article has introduced the approaches for determination of the specific-glyeosylarion-site, the assay of sugar chains of the glycoprotein, the glycosylation engineering, and reviewed the progresses in their applications.
