The basic definition and classification of collaborative innovation model are verified.The basic models are divided into two categories：the elements-centered internal collaborative innovation models and external collaborative innovation models.The derivative models are a series of models derived on the basis of the basic models according to different classification principles.The study of the derivative models is the mainstream trend;especially the studies of the horizontal collaborative innovation which dominate with colleges and universities.
