Nd8Fe87.5B4.5 bulk nanocomposite permanent magnets, in the form of rods with diameter 1.0 mm, have been prepared by injection die casting and treated by electropulsing and conventional isothermal annealing. The mi- crostructures were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electronic microscopy (TEM). The grains of both a-Fe and Nd2 Fe14 B in samples annealed by electropulsing are more regular and uniform than that annealed by conventional isothermal furnace, which leads to the improvement of magnetic properties by 16.5% and 13.4% in i Hc and (BH)m, respectively.
