With the rapid development of modern technology and the infiltration of new technology to leather industry, tradi tional polyacrylate coating agent can not fully meet the functional needs due to its disadvantages. Polyacrylate/inorganic nanocomposite leather finishing agent has a series of preeminent properties, such as hygienic properties, yellowing resistance, antimicrobial behavior, water resistance, self cleaning, UV protection properties and so on, which is the research hotspot in the current fashion. Based on the development needs of the industry background, the preparation methods and application properties of polyacrylate/inorganic nanocomposites are reviewed. Meanwhile, the development of polyacrylate/inorganie nanocomposites is prospected.
