Historical fiction is an important type of American young adult fictions. Historical fictions about teenagers＇ life have been continuously published in United States since 1930 and flourished in the 1960s and 1970s. This dissertation introduces the development of American Young adult historical fictions, discusses its trends and features, such as the different periods of its development, the cultural connotations, and the aesthetic values, and presents its literature achievement and influence to deepen our understanding and study of American young adult historical fictions.
