An optimal controller was designed to compensate for the effect of the stochastic controller-to-actuator(C-A) delays in the networked control system(NCS).The discrete-time hidden Markov model(DTHMM) was introduced to achieve the prediction of the C-A delay in the current sampling period, and the optimal controller was designed to guarantee the mean square stability of the NCS by taking the predicted C-A delay into account. The simulation experiments demonstrat the effectiveness of the optimal controller and its superiority to a state-feedback controller.
