An interval belief transformation method is proposed to transform real numbers into interval belief. In this method, generalized interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers （GTrFNs） is used to calculate the interval membership degree of fuzzy assessment grades, and then the interval belief is obtained by normalized interval membership degree, finally the interval belief is proven to be effective. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate that the interval belief this paper proposed is effective and feasible and can be applied to interval evidence fusion.
