With the implement and spread of business method patents in some countries, gradually, financial industry begins to protect financial innovation by applying patents. On the other hand, however, patent bait, a new patent strategy has become more and more popular. It studies the strategic behavior of patent bait in financial industry in the United States and gives corresponding suggestions to the financial industry of China.
