This paper systematically elaborates the direction transition of urban design education under the multi-disciplinary background,argues that the ability of rational analysis,innovative design,teamwork,comprehensive expression are the main training focus in urban design teaching system,and that the integrated teaching outline,thematic teaching unit,rational teaching theme,holistic teaching assessment,phased teaching progress,and diverse teaching expression are the main training methods.In this way the teaching of urban design and the vocational ability cultivation of architects are integrated organically.
