对于高比特率的光纤通信系统,由温度或功率变化导致的色散波动高于系统的色散容限。因此,色散补偿单元必须具备动态可调谐功能才能适应下一代光通信网络发展的需要。本文介绍了几种动态可调谐补偿技术的基本原理性能特点及其国内外研究情况,其中包括啁啾光纤光栅法、虚像相位阵列法、G-T干涉仪法、阵列光纤光栅法和平面光波导法,并且简要讨论了可调谐色散补偿技术今后的发展方向。
In high band rate optical communication systems such as 40 Gbps system,dispersion fluctuation caused by factors such as temperature change and power variation is beyond the dispersion tolerance.To compensate for these dispersion fluctuations,tunable dispersion compensators(TDCs) are needed.Various types of tunable dispersion compensators have been demonstrated in this paper,such as CFBG,VIPA,G-T interferometer,AWG and PLC.The operating principle and characteristics of these techniques are analyzed,and the developing trend of TDCs are also discussed briefly.
