A new DOA estimation algorithm for wideband sources is introduced. The method is based on the singular value decomposition of the array manifold of every frequency in the signal bandwidth and the preliminary DOA estimation. The focusing matrix is unitary matrix, thus there is no focusing loss in the new algorithm. The capability of the method for resolving two closely spaced sources is compared with that of the Rotational Signal-Subspace （RSS） method. The performance for the new technique is similar with that for RSS. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
