Nav1.5 is one of voltage-gated sodium channels.Studies have found that Nav1.5 not only play an important role in normal electrophysiological activities but also have a close relationship with tumors. The presence of various allosteric Nav1.5 is considered to be the re-expression of embryonic genes which are closely related to tumor formation.Recently,a number of studies have reported that the expression of Nav1.5 in many kinds of tumors significantly increased, such as glioma, breast cancer, etc.Furthermore, studies found that the activity of Nav1.5 could influence proliferation and migration of tumor cells.Based on the available literature and the findings of our research team, the current paper will review the relationship between the voltage-gated sodium channel Nav1.5 and tumors.
