It is of crucial significance to make scientific evaluation of the safety for land ecological security for the coordination of land use aspects of regional land resources pressure and the maintenance of regional land ecological security.Jiaozuo city in Henan province was used as the research area.Three Criteria Layers based on ＇pressure-state-response＇ （P-S-R） which was selected as the target layer to ensure the land ecological safety evaluation.A total of 23 indicators was selected to construct the index system of land ecological security evaluation of Jiaozuo city.The entropy weight method and comprehensive index method were used to evaluate land ecological security of all the four districts and six counties in Jiaozuo city from 2001 to 2010.Taking 2001,2004,2008 and 2010 as the basic standard year,the land ecological security of all districts in Jiaozuo city was evaluated.
