The research progress in LiFePO4 Cathode materials for lithium ion battery was reviewed. The emphasis was expressed preparation method of industrialization, market analysis and cathode materials progress for the past few years. The result suggested that the industrialized method have solid state reaction and hydrothcrmal synthesis, market requirement is more than supply, this product has excellent market prospects, high rate property will become one of the research fields in the future.
