This paper reviews the research progress with 19 references in asymmetric synthesis of optical salbutamol through asymmetric reactions,including asymmetric synthesis based on chiral auxiliary,asymmetric borane reduction,asymmetric hydrogenation,asymmetric transfer hydrogenation,asymmetric dihydroxylation,asymmetric epoxidation and enzyme-catalyzed asymmetric cyanohydrintion.
