As an innovative composite material,concrete- filled stainless steel tubular（ CFSST） is highlighting its own unique advantages increasingly in practice projects,which meets the certain requirements in complex environments. In this paper,attention is placed on the brief introduction that CFSST has material characteristics of stainless steel and concrete- filled steel tube（ CFST）,as well as examples in practice projects. It is summarized about current research status and trends of CFSST. The result shows that it is clear that CFSST has the wide development prospect with the deep- going research.
