本文应用空间Panel Data分析方法,对我国区域人均生产总值（GDP）的β收敛模型进行实证研究。研究结果表明我国区域经济增长在1996年至2005年期间存在扩散,1996年至2000年区域人均GDP为β收敛,2001年至2005年区间β扩散,β收敛理论实证研究受样本区间影响很大。在政策上提出国家对缩小国内区域经济增长差距的政策应根据国家长短期目标而调控。

英文摘要：

This paper is concerned with an important aspect of regional income convergence, β-convergence, The authors make an empirical research to examine the β-convergence process for China＇s regional per-capita GDP using techniques of spatial error autocorrelation model. The evidence shows that there is divergence in China＇s regional per-capita GDP in the period from 1996 to 2005. Then we separate the whole period into two sub-periods： 1996-2000 and 2001-2005. The results suggest that there is β-convergence in the first period and the divergence in the second period when we use the same method to investigate it. β- ecause of the weak test power of spatial panel data model test and small sample, we use the bootstrap simulation method to test the results.
