南洋中华商会具有悠久的历史，在南洋华人的经济及社会活动中发挥了重要作用。不仅如此，南洋中华商会在近代曾经与国内政府及商会有着密切互动，后来虽专注于在地化的商人整合，与国内一度有所隔离，但在20世纪90年代后逐步跨越国界，在推动东亚甚至全球范围内的华商网络建构方面做出了重要贡献。因此，南洋中华商会的研究不仅可以使中国商会史更为完整，而且由此角度观察东南亚华人社会及东亚华人经济圈的整合，在此全球化时代更具独特的学术及现实价值。学界已经关注到这一课题的重要意义，也有不少优秀成果发表，但现有研究或以国别为界，或分离近代与当下，整体及纵向脉络尚不清晰，中华商会与华商网络、华人社会及全球化之关系也需要更宏观的审视。鉴于此，更需深入发掘史料，纵横比较，贯通近代与现在，沟通商会与社会，在整体性探讨、视角和理论方面有所突破，解析于学术及现实都有价值的真问题。

英文摘要：

The Southeast Asian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry has a long history and huge impact on the development of economy and society in Chinese commu- nity. Besides this, there were close interactions between the Chinese Chamber and the domestic government of China in the first decades. Although the Chinese chamber fo- cused on its local affairs and alienated from China in the following time, it has made im- portant contributions to build the Chinese commercial network in East Asia and global world from 1990s. Therefore, this research on Southeast Asian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and lndustry can complete the whole history of Chinese Chamber of Com- merce and Industry, and look into the integration of Southeast Asian Chinese ethnic so- ciety and East Asian Chinese economic circle. There are so many scholars who are inter- ested in this theme and some articles published, but most of them focus on the Chinese Chamber in a single nation, or separate the history from the present. So, it is necessary to collect the materials, to compare and analyse the real questions, to make break- through in research method and angle. Based on the efforts, more facts about the over- sea Chinese Chamber and Chinese ethnic society may be known.
