The way to obtain process knowledge was summarized and the main metnoas to represent process knowledge for complicated stampings with large scale were given. On the basis of KBE (knowledge-based engineering) and feature technology, the description of process knowledge was realized by using hybrid knowledge representation method and a process information model was established. This model integrated expert knowledge, part information, and process planning knowledge with environment knowledge. It ensured inheritance, innovation, application and management for knowledge by control mechanism, realizing the description of full information with high level.
