Organotin compound(C6H5)3SnCl was synthesized with its crystal, and molecular structure determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction method. A crystal of the said compound was tficlinic with a space group Pi, a = 9.740(9)A, b = 18.674(17)A,c = 19.010(17)A,a = 105.513(14)°,β =90.036(14)°, γ = 90.258(15)°, V= 3 332(5)A, Z = 8,Dc = 1.537 Mg/m^3, μ = 1.682 mm^-1, F(000)= 1 520, R = 0.045 8, ωR = 0. 103 0. In this compound,the tin atom showed a distorted tetrahedral configuration.
