In spoken Chinese, there is a widely-used ＂wanle＂ which has changed into a textual connective adverb, which is called ＂wanle2＂ in this paper. ＂Wanle2＂ is gradually grammaticalized by ＂wanle＂ which means ＂when finished＂, which is called ＂wanlel＂ in this paper. The paper mainly talks about the grammaticalized course from ＂wanlet＂ to ＂wanle2＂ as well as the characteristic and function of ＂wanle＂.
