作为与中国一样具有悠久漆艺历史的日本,在东亚漆艺文化圈中举足轻重。自绳文时代起至今七千多年,日本漆艺在吸收外来文化与技术的营养下逐渐发展出了自有的特色,并且享誉世界。有关日本漆艺发展历程的中文论述,已有诸家作过不少译介和研究。本文便在诸前辈学者的研介基础上,结合近年来一些新的发现和成果,对日本的漆艺历史以编年的方式加以阐述。

英文摘要：

Lacquer has been found to have been used in Japan as early as 7000 BC, during the Jomon period. Many traditional crafts and industrial arts produced throughout Japanese history were initially influ- enced by China, and afterward experienced various native stylistic influences and innovations over the centu- ries. Many Chinese scholars have published their studies on Japanese lacquer art history. With the forerun- ner＇ s fruits combining with the latest points, this essay tries to renew the research results in chronical way.
