Recent development of the palladium-catalyzed Stille cross-coupling reactions is reviewed, which includes （1） the reactions of organotin compounds with organic electrophilic reagents such as aromatic halides, alkyl halides, and acyl chlorides etc., （2） mechanisms of the palladium-catalyzed Stille reaction, and （3） the applications of the Stille reaction to organic synthesis.
