This paper proposes the architecture and the design method of full chip verification platform for function verification of high performance microprocessors. It also addresses the implement of the CPU verification platform based on hardware accelerator. This microprocessor verification platform supplies both the in - circuit emulation mode and the simulation acceleration mode, and it is general - purpose. This platform has been successfully used to verify the validity and compatibility of a 64 - bit general purpose microprocessor designed by us.
