Whole peptidoglycan was extracted from cell wall of Bifidobacterium bifidum by the method of compound enzymes. Glucose standard curve and protein standard curve were prepared to determine the total sugar and protein contents of WPG. The contents of total sugar and protein were 34.36% and 47.15%, respectively. High purity WPG can be made by the method of compound enzymes.
