With the rapid development of economy, the population in Guangzhou has increased raqidly and the city itself has expanded at high speed, the infrastructure, such as housing, roadways is behind the times, the renovation of old urban district has been stressed, how to deal with the relationship to the development, renewal and reservation has become a common concerned matter. Based on examining the process and modes of renovation in Guangzhou＇.s old urban districts, the paper constructively advances that one important way to copy with the development, renewal and renovation is to develop RBD in old urban district.
