糖尿病周围神经病变多出现在糖尿病虚、损阶段，病程日久，久病入络，久病必瘀，病变病位在络。其病机关键是气血两虚、瘀血阻络，与肝、脾、肾脏有密切的关系，属本虚标实、虚实夹杂之证，治疗以益气养血、活血通络为大法。针灸治疗该病临床效果显著，取穴以足三里、三阴交、太溪、肺俞、脾俞、胰俞、肾俞为主，随症加减穴位。
英文摘要：
Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy （DPN） often occurs at the asthenic stage of diabetes. Prolonged disease win transform into the eoUaterals and produce stasis. The location of the disease also enters collaterals. The key of the pathogenesis lies in the deficient qi and blood and collateral obstruction by blood stasis,which is closely related with the liver, spleen and kidney. It be- longs to syndromes of excess root and deficient superficial and intermingled deficiency and excess. The therapy should be tonifying qi and nourishing blood,activating blood flow and dredging collaterals. Acupuncture has remarkable effect on this disease and the selected acupoints include Zusanli （ ST 36 ）, Sanyingjiao （ SP 6 ）, Taixi （ KI 3 ）, Feishu （ BL 13 ）, Pishu （ BL 20）, Yishu, Shenshu （BL 23 ） ,and other acupoints are selected according to symptoms.
