Use the information theory and entropy theory build the models to measure the entropy of the four market structures which are perfect competition, monopolistic competition, oligopoly and complete monopoly, and compare the entropy of the four market structures. Consider under competitive conditions the entropy of the oligopoly is minimum, the entropy of the complete monopoly may be smaller or larger than the oligopoly. The complete monopoly is a market failure structure. Therefore put forward the efficiency of the oligopoly is superior to other three market structure.
