利用1999~2001年和2001~2004年中国大陆西北地区的GPS观测资料,对该地区的应变能进行了计算,并对照该地区同时期发生的地震活动、地质构造分布,讨论了地震活动、断层分布和应变能变化之间的关系.结果表明:大多数地震发生在主要断裂附近而不是具有最大应变能的地区.
The strain energy is computed by use of GPS data in the northwest of China during 1999 -2001 and 2001 -2004 respectively. Through the comparison among strain energy variation, earthquakes occurred in the two GPS measurement periods and fault distribution in the area, it is found that the most earthquakes occurred near main fault other than the area with largest strain energy.
