The overall concept was one of the basic features of the traditional Chinese medicine theory. The bal- ance between Yin and Yang is the core content of traditional Chinese Medicine. The unbalance between Yin and Yang is the basic pathogenesis of various diseases. Adjusting the balance between Yin and Yang is the general principle of the treatment of disease. The development of modern immunology proves that the relationship between ERα and ERβ is opposite constraint,fluctuation equilibrium and interaction. Chinese medicine regulates the Yin- Yang balance between ERα and ERβ ,so as to achieve the purpose of treating systemic lupus erythematosus.
