Hypoxic or ischemic microenvironment is a common phenomena in tumor growth and progression. Under hypoxic condition,tumor cells change its metabolic character to keep survive and growth. Hypoxia - inducible factor - 1 （ HIF - 1 ） as the most important transcription activator under the hypoxic condition , it regulates transcription activation of more than 100 target genes directly or indirectly, which help tumor cells adapt to hypoxic environment, and keep the ability of proliferation, infiltration and metastasis.
