The Unified Comprehensive Chinese Examination is a graduation examina- tion for the international preparatory students who are financially sponsored by the Chinese Government Scholarship. The main purpose of the examination is to determine whether the students？ level of Chinese meets the needs of their undergraduate professional study. According to the different professional directions of the students, the examination has four versions as follows： arts, economic and trade, medicine, science and engineering, covering two aspects, basic Chinese and professional Chinese. As a general principle of design, much attention both to the students？ Chinese language skills and their knowledge of Chinese are paid in the design, and both the integrative test method and the discrete-point test method are adopted. Although the main purpose is to test the students？ language communicative competence, it is also hoped that the language knowledge level and the different language skills are examined. Through the analysis of the test results, it is found that The Unified Comprehensive Chinese Examination has a high quality and its purpose can be finally achieved.
