Objective To investigate the location and expression of the chloride intracellular channel 2 （CLIC2） in human cells. Methods Bacteria liquid containing the full-length human cDNA sequence of CLIC2 was used as PCR template to construct the eukaryotic expression vector. Immunofluorescence and Western blot were adopted to detect the location and expression of CLIC2 in the cell strain. Results The results of immunofluorescence indicated that CLIC2 was located in both cytoplasm and cell nucleus. Besides, Western blot results showed that it can be effectively expressed in the cells. Conclusion CLIC2 is widely distributed and expressed in human cells, which lays foundation to further study the function of CLIC2.
