Peer - led team learning model which was widespread in America was a new type of teaching model used in higher education. Introducing peer leader during instruction can efficiently lead team members learning by imparting everyone＇s learning experience.s, which not only helped to make up the lack of tutoring teachers but also helped to create new type relationship between teachers and students so as to exert students＇ principal part better. So towards this teaching model, the basic definition, special characteristics and peer leader＇s role were introduced, for the sake of affording some useful directions to educational reform of Chinese university.
