The task of distinguishing figures is used to exam the developmental trends of recognition of basic geometric figures in children with intellectual disability. The result shows that the performance of recognition of geometric figures enhances with ages. The order of correct recognition of geometric figures is circle, rectangular, square and triangle. On the task of triangle, rectangu- lar and square, children＇s performances on the task of defining attributes are significantly better than the task of Non - defining at- tributes.
