跨文化交际能力的培养是英语教学的最终目标。从需求分析的视角剖析当下我国大学英语教学实践及教学目标与社会和个人对人才跨文化交际能力需求之间的矛盾;并从大学英语课程设置、教学内容、教学模式和考核机制等方面提出构建培养大学生跨文化交际能力的模型。该模型将跨文化交际纳入大学英语课程安排,将跨文化知识、跨文化意识和跨文化交际技能的习得并入大学英语教学与考核。
Language is the cartier of culture, while culture is the root of language. This relationship between language and culture means that college English teaching is a cross-language and cross-culture unity. The cultivation of intercultural communicative competence is regarded as the ultimate goal of college English teaching. Based on the theory of Needs Analysis, the contradic- tions between college English teaching practice at the moment and the goal of English teaching as well as the social and individual needs of intercultural communicative competence are analyzed. A model of cultivating college students' intercultural communica- tive competence is constructed from the aspects of college English curriculum design, teaching contents, teaching modes and examining mechanism, which puts intereuhural communication into college English curriculum.
