The nutrient contents of plants seeds are the important target for plant genetic engineering. The seed-specific promoters can promote the exogenous genes to express specially in the seed,improve and raise the nourishment material content in the seed as desired. Thus ,making the regulation mechanism of seed-specific promoters clearly and obtaining more seed- specific promoters from soybean will accelerate the research and application of soybean. It summarized the characteristics of cis-elements and transcription factors and the recent research advances of seed-specific promoters of soybean.
