英文摘要：

OBJECTIVE To observe the effects of different ratios and different extraction techniques of Danggui and Chuanxiong on the contractions of the smooth muscles of mouse uteri in vitro and to explore the best ratio between the two herbal medicines. METHODS Seven different ratios between Danggui and Chuanxiong were extracted with three different extraction techniques. Their effects on mouse uterine contractions in vitro were assessed with a model of mouse uterine contractions. RESULTS The most significant effects were found when the herbs were extracted with 50% alcohol, and extracted with water followed by alcohol, and when the DangguiChuanxiong ratios were 1.5 ： 1 and 1 ： 1. CONCLUSIONS Different pairing ratios and different extraction techniques of Danggui and Chuanxiong contribute to different effects on the contractions of the smooth muscles of mouse uterus in vitro, and its material basis requires further study.
