本研究构建了一个以能力进化和能力替代为中介变量、以战略柔性为调节变量的跨界搜索影响企业创新绩效的被调节的中介模型,通过对国内290家制造企业的调研问卷进行假设检验,得出以下结论:跨界搜索对能力进化与能力替代都有积极影响,能力进化和能力替代对企业创新绩效均有积极影响;跨界搜索通过两种能力重构的完全中介作用对企业创新绩效产生积极影响;战略柔性正向调节以能力进化为中介的跨界搜索对创新绩效影响的积极效应;战略柔性负向调节以能力替代为中介的跨界搜索对创新绩效影响的积极效应.研究结论为回答"跨界搜索如何影响创新"提供新思路,也为企业管理者突破资源及能力局限、快速推进创新提供了理论指导.
It constructed a moderated mediator model to discuss how boundary-spanning search impacts on innovation performance,which took capability evolution and capability substitution as the mediators and strategic flexibility as the moderator. By using the survey of 290 manufacturing firms to test the hypothesis,the results show that boundary-spanning search has positive impact on capability evolution and capability substitution,and both capability evolution and capability substitution have positive impacts on innovation performance. Boundary-spanning search has positive effect on firm innovation performance through the complete mediating effect of the two kinds of capability reconfiguration. Strategic flexibility positively moderates the positive effect of boundary-spanning search on innovation performance which is completely mediated by capability evolution,while negatively moderates the positive effect of boundary-spanning search on innovation performance which is completely mediated by capability substitution. The conclusion provides a new perspective to understand how boundary-spanning search impacts innovation. It also provides managers with theoretical guidance on how to break through the limitations of resources and capabilities to promote firm innovation quickly.
