美国普林靳顿大学图书馆的“Cotsen走进课堂”项目利用本馆的特色馆藏,派馆员为社区内学校的未成年人授课,体现了高校图书馆应该承担的社会责任。该项目为社区内的学校中不同年龄的未成年人设置了不同的课程,课程内容涉及多学科,并且在设置课程的过程中参考了相关教育标准。该项目在服务方式、课程设置、阅读推广、信息素养教育四个方面对我国高校图书馆为社区未成年人服务有所启示。
The "Cotsen Walking into the Classroom" program of Princeton University Library makes use of its own special collections and sends librarians to teach minors ih,community schools which shows the social responsibility of university libraries. This program designs different courses for minors of different ages in community schools. These courses cover different subjects and refer to relevant educational standards. This piogriam gives some enlightenment to university libraries In China serving minors in communities in following four aspects: the service method, the course design, the reading promotion and the information literacy education.
