The arithmetic for identifying the satisfaction degree of group to an alternative is a hot topic in the research of group decision making. Considering the fact that the assessment information decision-maker is difficult to quantify the index of deviation degree variance of linguistic preference is proposed based on the research of linguistic judgment matrix. Then, a method is established to identify the satisfaction degree of group to an alternative. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the application of the proposed method.
