Objective： To investigate the different expression of connexin 40 （Cx40） in T lymphocytes＇ surface in spleen of normal Wistar Kyoto （WKY） rats and spontaneously hypertensive rats （SHR）.Methods：Flow cytometry to detect the ratio of Cx40 in CD4＋ and CD8＋ T lymphocytes of spleen between WKY rats （n=12） and SHR （n=12）. Results：Compared with WKY rats,SHR showed the proportion of CD4＋Cx40 increased in spleen （P〈0.01）,the ratio of CD8＋Cx40 also increased （P〈0.01）.Conclusions：The increased expression of Cx40 in CD4＋ and CD8＋ T lymphocytes＇ surface of SHR spleen may be involved in pathogenic processes of hypertension induced inflammation.
