There are three types of superimposition for double presuppositional negation in Chinese,i.e.,entail meaning,overlaying,and mutual.Multi-layered superimposition by adding another overlaying is consisted of three kinds,i.e.,＂overlaying＋entailment＂,＂overlaying＋collocation＂ and ＂overlaying＋cooperation＂.Impetuses for superimposition include subjective highlighting,semantic wearing,feature consideration,and structure integrating.The primary function is to aggrandize and leads to redundance in negation.These superimpositions satisfy not only different pragmatic needs for presuppositional negation,but also produce other morphological and syntactic consequences,such as the lexicalization and idiomatical constructions with negative morphemes.
