Over the past 20 years, although the theoretical study of psychology has been reemphasized, its substantive progress in the study is still struggling. Larry Laudan＇s problem--solving theory holds that the essence of science is to solve problems. This model provides a new perspective and standards for the theoretical study of psychology. This paper believes problem--solving theory as the basic framework, in terms of the relationship between problems and theories, the comparison and evaluation of theories and other aspects to rethink an effective way to prosper theoretical study of psychology. The perspective of problem--solving theory has significance for apdating level of theoretical study of psychology.
